Join host Doug Flynn for a new season of Kentucky Life, with a slate of stories exploring the fascinating people, places and history of the Commonwealth.

The first episode of Kentucky Life’s 27th season features a profile of artist Jayson Fann’s repurposed wood sculpture “Spirit Nest” at Bernheim Arboretum and Research Forest; explores the famous literary works by Kentucky writer Walter Tevis; examines the history of the Cove Haven Cemetery in Lexington, built by the African-American community in the early 1900s; tours the Appalachian Horse Project in Jackson, which cares for free-roaming horses; and beholds the world’s tallest Sassafras Tree found in Owensboro.

Kentucky Life airs Saturday, April 23, at 8/7 pm on KET, and on Monday, April 25, at 7/6 pm on KET2.
