KET welcomes kids and families to free Super Saturday event

KET invites families with children ages 2-8 to enjoy free, fun activities at its annual Super Saturday event on August 10 from 9 am to 2 pm at the KET Studios, 600 Cooper Drive in Lexington.

Attendees will get a chance to meet Mr. Steve of PBS KIDS, pose for pictures with Curious George and Daniel Tiger, and explore and learn at many STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, Math)-focused booths sponsored by event partners including:

  • Bernheim Arboretum and Research Forest
  • Columbia Gas of Kentucky
  • Kentucky Historical Society (Camp Arty Fact)
  • Kentucky Science Center
  • Living Archaeology Weekend
  • The Living Arts and Science Center
  • Mathnasium of West Lexington
  • UK Art Museum
  • UK Department of Physics and Astronomy
  • Wild Fig Books and Coffee

Registration is free, but must be done in advance online at Families may choose to attend either a 9 am, 10:30 am or 11:45 am session.
