For Release: 07/28/21 12:21 PM

KET is providing live coverage of Fancy Farm 2021, the state’s annual premier political event in Graves County, Kentucky.

Live coverage of Fancy Farm 2021, hosted by KET’s Renee Shaw, begins Saturday, Aug. 7, at 2:30/1:30 pm on KET and streams online at KET.org/live. The program will include live coverage of speeches as well as analysis from political pundits.

Then on Monday, Aug. 9, at 8/7 pm, KET will air a one-hour Fancy Farm highlight program in which Shaw and KET’s Casey Parker-Bell recap the event’s highlights, including the most memorable zingers from Kentucky politicians’ speeches, and talk with political pundits.

About Fancy Farm: Every year since the early 1880s, St. Jerome Catholic Church in the small town of Fancy Farm in Western Kentucky has hosted an annual community picnic. It was a local affair at first, but at some point, political candidates began to see the Fancy Farm Picnic as a good chance to meet, greet and stump for votes.

KET is Kentucky’s largest classroom, where learning comes to life for more than one million people each week via television, online and mobile. Learn more about Kentucky’s preeminent public media organization at KET.org, on Twitter @KET and at facebook.com/KET.
