KET offers comprehensive coverage of 2019 legislative session

KET will present extensive television broadcast and online coverage of the 2019 Kentucky legislative session, which begins on Jan. 8. Viewers can turn to KET on air and online to follow the legislative process, policy discussions, committee meetings and chamber sessions.
Senate and House chamber sessions and committee meetings can be watched live on:

KET’s Legislative Update, a nightly report on the day’s most significant activities, will air its first report of the 2018 legislative session on Friday, Jan. 11 at 8:30/7:30 pm on KET and at KET.org/live. When the session resumes on Feb. 5, Legislative Update will air at 11/10 pm Mondays through Thursdays and 8:30/7:30 pm Fridays on KET. The program, hosted by KET’s Renee Shaw, offers reports on issues being considered by the General Assembly as well as interviews with lawmakers, advocates, journalists and agency heads.
KET will stream live coverage of the 24th Annual Kentucky Chamber Day on Thursday, Jan. 10 beginning at approximately 7:15 pm on KET.org/live. This year’s Chamber Day event will draw business leaders from across Kentucky as well as invited speakers and top legislative leaders. Shaw will anchor KET’s Chamber Day highlights coverage, airing Monday, Jan. 14 at 9/8 pm on KET.
Throughout the legislative session, journalists covering the General Assembly will discuss the week’s news on Comment on Kentucky, hosted by Bill Bryant, which airs Fridays at 8/7 pm on KET and KET.org/live.
Additionally, Kentucky Tonight, airing Mondays at 8/7 pm on KET and KET.org/live, will feature discussions between host Renee Shaw and lawmakers, stakeholders and policy leaders about the issues being debated in Frankfort.
