KET hosts Spirits, Sparkles and Spurs fundraiser at Homestead of the late Sally Brown
For Release: 10/28/15 2:38 PM
Saddle up for KET’s Spirits, Sparkles and Spurs, an evening of bourbon, bidding, and bluegrass Saturday, Nov. 21 beginning at 6 pm at the newly renovated Ashbourne Farms, homestead of the late Sally Brown.
The event, hosted by W. Austin Musselman, Jr. & Jane D. Musselman, marks the 18th annual gala of the Greater Louisville Regional Board of the Commonwealth Fund for KET, a fundraising event in support of KET’s programming and services.
There’s something for everyone at this ten-gallon gala: an Old-Fashioned Face Off, a silent auction, a special theatrical performance of “Bourbon Babes of the Bluegrass” by the Eve Theatre Company, and live entertainment and dancing provided by local bluegrass favorite, The Wooks.
Attendees are invited to deck out in cowboy couture (spurs and stilettos; denim and diamonds welcome). Tickets are available for a $150 per person donation to KET (all but $40 is tax deductible). Tickets include dinner and a two-drink allowance.
Reservations are requested by November 13. For more information, contact Katelyn Lincoln at (800) 866-0366 or klincoln@ket.org. Tickets can be reserved online at ket.org/spurs. Space is limited, early reservations are suggested.
Ashbourne Farms is located at 3800 Old Westport Rd., La Grange, Ky.
