KET announces initial Kentucky Tonight candidate programs for 2015 election

KET continues its in-depth political coverage with Kentucky Tonight programs featuring candidates in 2015 races for State Treasurer, Secretary of State, Commissioner of Agriculture, Auditor of Public Accounts and Attorney General.

Hosted by Bill Goodman, Kentucky Tonight programs with candidates begin Monday, Sept. 14 at 8/7 pm on KET. The programs will also stream live at KET.org/live and will be archived online. The scheduled candidates are:

 

September 14 

Candidates for State Treasurer

– Allison Ball, Republican Party

– State Rep. Rick Nelson, Democratic Party

 

September 21 

Candidates for Secretary of State

-Kentucky Secretary of State Alison Lundergan Grimes, Democratic Party

-Stephen L. Knipper, Republican Party

 

September 28 

Candidates for Commissioner of Agriculture

-State Rep. Ryan F. Quarles, Republican Party

-Jean-Marie Lawson Spann, Democratic Party

 

October 5  

Candidates for Auditor of Public Accounts

-Kentucky Auditor Adam H. Edelen, Democratic Party

-State Rep. Mike Harmon, Republican Party

 

October 12 

Candidates for Attorney General

-Andy Beshear, Democratic Party

-State Sen. Whitney H. Westerfield, Republican Party

 

Candidates appearing on these programs have demonstrated satisfaction of KET’s candidate invitation criteria, published at www.ket.org/candidate-invitation-criteria-2015.

Live election night coverage from KET begins at 7/6 pm on Tuesday, Nov. 3. Prior to that, additional election coverage and analysis continues on Comment on Kentucky, One to One with Bill Goodman and Connections with Renee Shaw.
