For Release: 10/07/15 1:42 PM
Kentucky Collectibles, KET’s popular appraisal series, kicks of its fourth season – its second filmed at the Frazier History Museum in Louisville – on Halloween. But the show offers no tricks, only treats – including an appraisal of a sword dubbed “The Sword of Perryville” and a surprisingly valuable collection of antique Kentucky bourbon bottles that were salvaged from the garbage.
New episodes of Kentucky Collectibles air Saturdays at 4:30/3:30 pm on KET beginning Oct. 31 and Mondays at 7:30/6:30 pm on KET2 beginning Nov. 2.
Kentucky Collectibles tells Kentucky’s stories through prized antiques, heirlooms or memorabilia that guests share with program host Amy Hess and the show’s panel of expert appraisers.
Upcoming episodes in season four include appraisals of a 19th century Chinese ivory card case, an early piece of Kentucky cast iron, a Carl Brenner painting and a piece of Newcomb College Pottery, plus much more.
Additionally, in episode two, airing Saturday, Nov. 7 at 4:30/3:30 pm on KET and Monday, Nov. 9 and 7:30/6:30 pm on KET2, Amy Hess speaks with Kentucky’s First Lady Jane Beshear about the collectibles housed in the “People’s House,” the Kentucky Governor’s Mansion.
Kentucky Collectibles is a KET production, produced by Erin Lowry.
