For Release: 05/15/15 1:31 PM

Grab the wheel and your cool shades for KET’s 27th signature fundraising event, Summer Celebration. This year’s joyride, “Cruisin’ with KET, will be held Friday, June 5 from 7 pm to midnight at Donamire Farm in Lexington. President Wil James of Toyota Motor Manufacturing Kentucky and his wife, Michaelene, are the honorary chairs of the event, which is hosted by Don and Mira Ball.

Cool rides from classic to sporty, muscle cars to motorcycles will highlight the fun, along with hot-rod hospitality, tricked out dance moves to the Jimmy Church Band, even a drive-in movie.  For more kicks with KET, submit a digital photo of your first or favorite car at ket.org/summercelebration to be shared on social media and at the event.

Over 300 roadside auction treasures include University of Kentucky men’s basketball lower arena season tickets; an African safari; vacation accommodations in the Caribbean, Las Vegas, Disney World and Maine; catered dinners; jewelry; fine art; sports packages and much more.
