Alice Houston appointed to KET’s statewide fundraising board

Alice Houston, co-founder of HJI Supply Chain Solutions, has been appointed to the Commonwealth Fund for KET Board of Directors.
A family-owned business based in Louisville, HJI Supply Chain Solutions is an inventory, warehousing and logistics management company servicing the automotive, food and beverage, consumer goods and healthcare industries.
In addition to serving on numerous leadership boards throughout the region, Houston is former chair of Greater Louisville Inc.’s Board of Directors, a former board member of the National Urban League, and an active community volunteer, mentor and philanthropist. Among many accolades, she has been named Louisvillian of the Year; and Leadership Kentucky recognized Alice and her husband, Wade, with its top honor, the Flame of Excellence Award, in 2021.
“KET is a treasure in our state that makes education, inspiration and opportunity accessible to all our citizens,” Houston said. “I am honored to serve and help advance KET’s important mission.”
The Commonwealth Fund for KET raises funds from individuals, corporations and foundations for the purchase and acquisition of programs broadcast and streamed on KET, plus related educational services.
